简介： 据历史故事改编，由戴维斯·西曼尼斯执导，讲述了德国军医乌尔里希在拉脱维亚偏远地区的精神疗养院任职期间找回自我的故事。距第一次世界大战结束还有一年，乌尔里希受命前往该精神疗养院开展工作。任职期间，他想要重建疗养院，却意外遇到一个神秘的孤儿，这个孤儿生活在疗养院附近的森林里。乌尔里希在这片森林里、这片净土中逐渐找回自我，而这片净土最终也将为反抗战争做出最后的努力。导演通过影片想要向观众表达人性对于人类的重要。
